@yukihama:

I have a card of similar type here:

pm3 --> hf 14a info
 UID : 00 00 00 00
ATQA : 00 02
 SAK : 18 [2]
TYPE : NXP MIFARE Classic 4k | Plus 4k SL1 | 4k Ev1
SAK incorrectly claims that card doesn't support RATS
 ATS : 09 78 00 91 02 DA BC 19 10 F0 05
       -  TL : length is 9 bytes
       -  T0 : TA1 is present, TB1 is present, TC1 is present, FSCI is 8 (FSC = 256)
       - TA1 : different divisors are supported, DR: [], DS: []
       - TB1 : SFGI = 1 (SFGT = 8192/fc), FWI = 9 (FWT = 2097152/fc)
       - TC1 : NAD is NOT supported, CID is supported
[=] Answers to magic commands: NO
[+] Prng detection: WEAK
pm3 -->

This seems to be a GEN2-card, called a CUID-card. That means that it doesn't answer to chinese magic commands, but it's UID is rewritable as often as you like. This type of card is used to circumvent for example entrance systems that check for answers to chinese magic commands, i.e. for cloned cards.
Regards,

JD.

Re: What is this strange Mifare Classic card?

@johndoepm  you got a 4byte Mifare Classic 4k / s70 ...

Looks like that ATS could be used for identifing that its a Gen2  magic smile

@yukihama ,  try writing  S0/B0 with a valid uid/bcc with hf mf wrbl to verify that its a gen2

Re: What is this strange Mifare Classic card?

@iceman:

I successfully wrote block 0 in my card using hf mf wrbl ....
Regarding your ATS-hint: Do you have informations if such a check is performed on current check systems ?
If so: Is there a way to circumvent that ?
Cheers,

JD.
