PM3 crash using losim

Hello,
Using a 125KHz HID proximity RFID tag with PM3.
1.)  I ran "tune"
#db# Measuring antenna characteristics, please wait.
# LF antenna: 18.40 V @   125.00 kHz
# LF antenna: 32.23 V @   134.00 kHz
# LF optimal: 32.23 V @   133.33 kHz
# HF antenna:  0.32 V @    13.56 MHz
2.) I ran "loread"
#db# 00000000, 00000000, 00000000
3.)  I ran "losamples"
4.)  I ran "plot"
-I can see the plot of signa.  Max is 127, min is -128.
5.) I ran "losim".
Auto-detected clock rate: 8
and a yellow light on the PM3 turns on and the prox.exe gui software for further
commands except "help" is unresponsive.

Question:
a.) Why is the prox.exe gui unresponsive to further commands and the PM3 yellow lights stays on?
b.) Why did the "losim" command not work?

kind regards,
JaEGeR.

Re: PM3 crash using losim

-Several posts report similar issues with the words 'hang', 'hung'.

-Pressing the button on the PM3 gets out of 'hung' mode and further
commands can be issued.
-Several PM3 commands required the button to be pressed.  ie.  When reading/writing.
-Can generally identify this by the yellow light staying on.

-I have noticed that if the board keeps requiring button presses and the software hangs.  Need to disconnect the USB.
kind regards,
JaEGeR.

Re: PM3 crash using losim

The proxmark firmware doesn't do multitasking, so when it is busy simulating a tag (or sniffing, etc.) it can't respond to any USB commands. Some commands terminate themselves normally (like loread), usually when they filled their buffer, for other commands that run for an indeterminate amount of time (e.g. losim) you need to press the button to end the command.
