Hello,
1.) Received ProxMark 3 and Hirose LF aerial in the mail.
2.) Updated firmware according to: Help - #db# unknown command - loread by jaeger2000.
3.) Ran "tune" from prox gui
#db# Measuring antenna characteristics, please wait.
# LF antenna @ 311 mA / 29003 mV [93 ohms] 125Khz
# LF antenna @ 341 mA / 29406 mV [86 ohms] 134Khz
# HF antenna @ 0 mA / 322 mV [40820 ohms] 13.56Mhz
4.) Ran "loread"
#db# Writing the following data to tag:
#db# 00000000, 0000000d, 00000400
5.) losamples
bad resp
My question(s):
1.) Why does "loread" write anything to the tag?
2.) Why am I receiving a bad response?

Use the prox.exe that matches the firmware version you flashed.

I checked the prox.exe version.
It works as expected now.
