Replacing LF Antenna of Proxmark3

The read range of the Proxmark3 is not very impressive, probably due to the antenna properties that are dominated size and number of turns.

In order to improve it (say, doubling the range), I am thinking about replacing the default antenna.  This requires retuning of the antenna by adjusting the matching capacitor, whose value is unknown to me.

Anyone knows where I can find the circuit info of the main board?

Also, is this approach safe enough from the rest of the Proxmark3 system?

Thanks,

Re: Replacing LF Antenna of Proxmark3

There is no 'default antenna'. The antenna supplied to you is separate from the Proxmark III project.

The repo is here: https://github.com/Proxmark/proxmark3

Most RFID manufacturers have at least one white paper on the subject. I'd suggest starting there. Antenna design could leave you will a little less hair.
